Hankin’s Story
Dr. Abram Kaplan, the founder of Hankin Greenhouse is the head of the environmental studies department at Denison University. Hankin Greenhouse is located on Dr. Kaplan’s property on Hankison road and was built with the help of Denison students. Hankin’s mission is to use sustainable growing practices such as hydroponic engineering to create products such as microgreens, flowers, wine grapes, and herbs locally in Granville Ohio.
In the future Hankin aims to be able to sell our products such as microgreens to local restaurants and grocery stores because we believe in fresh local products that are grown from seed to bite. Find us today at the Canal Market district market and try our sustainable products!

What Are Microgreens?
Microgreens are the sprouts of vegetables and herbs that are harvested early in their growth process. They pack a nutritious punch: Vitamins A, C, E, calcium, magnesium, iron, selenium, & zinc. They’re a great source of antioxidants too. In most cases microgreens are even more nutritious than their full-grown counterparts. Each variety has a unique taste and adds extra flavor and nutrients in your kitchen.
What can you do with your Microgreens?
Salads and sandwiches are the classic uses for microgreens BUT microgreens can be used for much more like
Avocado toast!
Garnish for meals like pasta and pizza and even scrambled eggs
